PURPOSE AND GRATITUDE are two things that Engr. Roshene Velasquez, Top 8 of the May 2018 Civil Engineer Licensure Examination, pointed out during her speech in last Friday’s recognition and awarding ceremony. Watch and share the video, Teknoys!
The recognition started with a mini motorcade around the campus and was followed by a formal ceremony. Engr. Velasquez and the CE Department received cash incentives represented by two ceremonial checks handed to them by no less than the University President, Engr. Bernard Nicolas Escario Villamor. Engr. Velasquez was also awarded with an ASUS Laptop, sponsored by C&E Publishing. She was then given the black Wildcats Cap, a symbol of strength of character, passion for excellence, honor and nobility. The ceremonial hand-printing was also done to immortalize the pride she had given to the institution. It will be displayed in the University Library together with the hand print’s of last year’s topnotchers.
Inspirational messages were given by Engr. Suzette Pacaña, Chair of the Civil Engineering Department, Atty. Corazon Evangelista-Valencia, VP for Academic Affairs, and the beauty and brains, Engr. Roshene Velasquez.
The program was closed by Engr. Villamor who thanked the students who stayed to witness the entire event. He pointed out that success starts with attitude. And the attitude of listening, and learning (especially from the above mentioned speakers) is a key factor for a person to succeed.
It is our hope that those who witnessed may be inspired to be CIT-University’s next topnotcher. CIT-University tops again!
